  1. This Memorial Day weekend is the 9th annual Danny Dietz Memorial Classic, BBQ cook-off and Car Show at the Ft. Bend County Fairgrounds in Rosenberg, Texas. This four-day event is an amazing fundraiser for the Navy Seal Foundation. The actual car show is Saturday, May 26 from noon until 6 pm. We already have Saleen's from all over the state confirmed to attend! Where can I get more information? http://www.dannydietzmemorial.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=101 How do I sign up for the Car Show? https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf6RP4000rYc2FDeZwDVpB_aUnIjtge8GMY2ZtzTDhamZXwdQ/viewform?c=0&w=1 Who was Danny Dietz and what was Operation Red Wings? During the War in Afghanistan in the Pech District of Afghanistan's Kunar Province, a team of four Navy SEALs, tasked for surveillance and reconnaissance of a group of structures known to be used by the local anti-coalition militia, fell into an ambush just hours after inserting into the area by fastrope from an MH-47 helicopter. Three of the four SEALs were killed (Michael P. Murphy 29, Matthew Axelson 29 and Danny Dietz 25 - Marcus Luttrell was the "Lone Survivor") and then a quick reaction force helicopter sent in for their aid was shot down with a rocket-propelled grenade fired from an RPG-7, killing all eight U.S. Navy SEALs and all eight U.S. Army Special Operations aviators on board. What is the Navy Seal Foundation and what do they do? Built on an unparalleled legacy and established in 2000, the Navy SEAL Foundation is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, national, non-profit benevolent organization headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA. The Foundation is a resolute cornerstone for the Naval Special Warfare community and their families in times of adversity and triumph. Each of our specialized programs maps directly back to the U.S. Special Operations Command directive and the Naval Special Warfare’s Preservation of the Force and Family Program, a program designed to address the “fraying” of the force caused by the stress of more than 15 years of sustained combat. Our programs are designed to improve health and welfare, build and enhance resiliency, empower and educate their families, and provide critical support during times of illness, injury, and loss.

    Saleens at the Sea

This trip is the kick off to a whole new chapter for Saleen enthusiasts. The best way to get the most fun and enjoyment from your Saleen is taking a cruise with other Saleens. We will start our adventure in beautiful and tranquil Little River, CA at the Little River Inn and enjoy a delicious meet and greet dinner together before we begin our epic drive along the coast. Feel free to explore the area on Tuesday as there really is a LOT to see/do around here! Wednesday we set out for a beautiful driving day some adventurous hills and curves as we cruise along the rocky ocean road toward San Francisco. Of along course a visit to 'Frisco won't be complete without a cruise along world famous Lombard Street. On Thursday we continue to wind our way along the majestic Pacific ocean and take a boat trip to look for ocean wildlife. We will spend a few hours out on the ocean looking for awesome whales, adorable sea otters and sleek, playful seals and sea lions. Then we will end our day at a comfortable beach and boardwalk lodge in Santa Cruz, maybe watching the sunset with a frosty beverage in hand. Friday, we wake refreshed from a good meal and wonderful company to continue on to Morro Bay, a spectacular oceanside community and home to Morro Rock, a fantastic backdrop for pictures of your baby. Along the way we will check out some kitschy shopping and with luck we'll visit with elephant seals. Our last day together takes us to the Mothership, the place where dreams become attainable, Saleen Automotive in Corona. Meet the genius behind the design and get his signature on your Saleen.* Sunday we will head over to the Fabulous Fords show at Knotts Berry Farms (separate registration required). We can't guarantee that you will have the time of your life with us or that you will leave with lifelong friendships but history tells us that the odds are crazy good that one or both will happen. Looking forward to sharing Pacific Coast Highway "Saleens at the Sea" with you. You are now just a few clicks away from a fantastic Spring vacation. Here are just some of the places you and your car could be in a few months! http://events.constantcontact.com/register/event?llr=aj8n6ejab&oeidk=a07ef2huq871d7e851b
